Middle is Gold.

So the Potter Mania has sort of subsided over here where I live, and I’m staring to feel better. You know what pisses me off though? Everything. No really. I have been in the worst mood lately. Of course, it doesn’t help that my life is just one big string of things I don’t want to do. I’m sure you all have experienced these feelings too. It’s like, can’t I just find a person to do everything for me? Can I outsource my whole life to India? It seems to work for most corporations. Why can’t I do it too? All I want to do lately is exercise, go to the beach, eat healthy (but damn tasty) cuisine, and of course find people online. I haven’t done a people search in the longest time, and it’s really starting to grate on me. I swear the only bright part of my day today was when my friend sent me a link to a GiantLists.com page about How to Find People (And Then Make Them Be Your Friend). I found this especially funny because we were just talking the other night about how much harder it is to find friends without a context like college, or church or… anything. You can’t be buddy buddy with people at work (or at least not most of them), and other than that… where do adults go to meet people? Bars? Maybe. Anyway, just read the list and you’ll see what they have to say about it. Hilarious.

Sick of Harry Potter

Is anyone else really f-ing sick of Harry Potter and his posse of underaged wizard friends? I sure am. The 7th book comes out this weekend. How do I know this if I am so anti-Potter? Well, maybe it’s because it’s everywhere!!! All over the net! I don’t care at all, but just because everyone else does, I do too. I’m just trying to people search and find people online and there he is…Potter. That little scar glaring at me. It does; it really glares at me. As if the hype with the movie isn’t enough, now we have to deal with the 7th and potentially last (let’s pray) installment of the putrid little boy. I did, however, manage to find people and some cool sites to give you guys. I found a good one on background checks that someone has put up and recently updated. This other blog someone started has some pretty good tips on how to find a person if you haven’t seen or spoken to them in a while. That’s all I got for now. I gotta go to a Harry Potter protest outside my local Barnes and Noble.

Follow the green brick road…

Nearly every morning I think this to myself as I leave my house, “Follow the green brick road.” The reason for this is that I have a bunch of antique brick lining the path too and from my house, and it has little bits of green paint all over it from one of it’s past lives. Speaking of which, I don’t believe that past lives are a reality, but wouldn’t it be interesting if we actually did have past (and potentially future) lives? If we did, I wonder if we too would have little bits of metaphorical green paint that might stick to our psyche for the long haul. Hmmm. Anyway, here I am babbling on, when what I’ve meant to come on here and talk about is People Search! I’ve found some great sites that I’m betting you’ll find useful at most and entertaing at least. Here’s a breakdown: Number One - Find A Person; Number Two - Address Find; Number Three - My Family Story; AND Number Four - Online Family Tree. These are all great resources that you should all take a second to check out. I have to go walk my dog now, but I’ll be back… maybe with some metaphorical green paint. ;)

find a person in every nook and cranny…

It’s hard to tell the difference between a phophet and a crackpot sometimes. Or… maybe it’s just me who thinks so? I personally prefer not to trust either, but I’m naturally skeptical. Anyway, talk about going off on tangents right from the get-go. Seriously though, you should get used to it if you plan on being a regular reader of this blog. I’ll be writing something one moment about hamburgers and then suddenly change subjects to the awesome birdwatching I did this weekend. Speaking of which - I did get in some awesome birdwatching this weekend! I saw these little little guys (think tiny - like sparrows), but they had the exact same coloring as penguins! Amazing, eh? I thought so. This weekend I also continued my never-ending quest for the perfect bar for my apartment, as well as looked up some old high school friends online for our ten year class reunion (which I’m helping to plan). I found some really good people finder / public search engine sites while scouring the net (these two were the best: Public Records Now - People Search & People Finder Search Engine and Private Eye - Find a Person or do a Background Check), and was overall really impressed with how easy it is to find a person online. If you haven’t tried it, you should. You can also do background checks, and find info like unlisted numbers. Anyway… my jaw hurts. I had this sandwich for lunch today that had really crusty good bread, but it was a lot of work to get through. I may have to have soup for dinner.
